In celebration of the monumental 40th anniversary of Stan Sakai’s Usagi Yojimbo, BOOM! Studios, Dark Horse Comics, and Hasbro invite fans to discover the match made in crossover heaven with the MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS/USAGI YOJIMBO one-shot! Stan Sakai is the legendary creator of the Eisner Award–winning Usagi Yojimbo, a celebrated comic series spanning four decades. Born in Kyoto and raised in Hawaiʻi, Sakai built his career as a commercial artist before launching Usagi in 1984—now one of the longest-running creator-owned comics, translated into 18 languages and honored with 12 Eisner Awards . He continues to write, draw, and letter every issue, guiding the next chapter of the Usagi universe with his singular vision. Now through Dogu Publishing, he’s building a creative home where emerging and established voices can tell their own stories and help shape the future of comics.

Julie Sakai is an accomplished artist and co-creator of the Eisner Award–winning graphic novel Chibi Usagi: Attack of the Heebie Chibis. Her playful, chibi-style drawing bring a unique blend of whimsical joy to everything she touches. As founder of Chibi Time, Julie has expanded her creative vision beyond comics into a vibrant lifestyle brand. In her role as COO at Dogu Publishing, Julie oversees the company’s day-to-day operations. Her leadership is instrumental in the growth and success of Dogu. Outside of her professional life, Julie nurtures her creative spirit through pottery, a passion that allows her to explore tactile artistry and mindfulness.

Daniel Fujii has been deeply involved in the Usagi Yojimbo universe for nearly a decade. He is a executive producer on Netflix’s Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles. As President of Dogu Publishing, he brings strategic insight and creative vision.

With a background in entertainment production and business development, Daniel bridges creative storytelling with industry partnerships, helping to open doors for fresh collaborations and new audiences. His leadership continues to shape Dogu’s growth as a hub for innovation in comics, animation, and publishing.

Jeremiah Blank is a visionary business leader with deep expertise in publishing, licensing, and global brand building. As CEO and Co-Founder of Dogu Publishing, he focuses on connecting cultures through storytelling, merchandising, and strategic creative partnerships. With a background in scaling entertainment ventures and launching successful IP-driven products, Jeremiah is dedicated to redefining how fans experience content across borders. He is also actively involved in talent management and leverages emerging technologies to drive innovation across content, commerce, and fan engagement.

Justin Eisinger is co-author of two graphic novels with George Takei, including the New York Times Best Selling and Eisner Award-winning "They Called Us Enemy," and the brand-new 2025 release, "It Rhymes with Takei" -- the celebrity actor and activist's most personal story ever. Eisinger is also co-creator of "How'd They Make That?!", an illustrated nonfiction series for young readers coming in 2026 from Chronicle Books. Before joining Dogu Publishing in 2024, Eisinger served as Senior Editor and Editorial Director, Graphic Novels & Collections at IDW Publishing.

Emi Fujii is the Chief Creative Officer at Usagi Studios and Publisher at Dogu Publishing, where she helps shape the creative direction of the Usagi Yojimbo universe. She is lead colorist for Chibi Usagi and the Space Usagi series. In addition to her work with Usagi titles, Emi has contributed coloring to a range of covers and comics published by Marvel, IDW, and Boom! Studios. As Dogu Publishing continues to grow, she’s especially excited to discover and champion new stories by supporting emerging creators and helping bring unique voices to the page.
